About the Mandal
Since 1976, the Seven Star Ganesh Utsav Mandal has been a home for devotion, culture and community in Gokulpeth, Nagpur. Every year, our bappa carries a new theme - from environmental awareness to honouring frontline warriors - because we believe Bappa should speak to the times.
What began as a small neighbourhood gathering in 1976 has grown into one of Gokulpeth's most-loved Ganeshotsav mandals. Generations of devotees, artisans and volunteers have shaped what our mandap is today.
Our tradition of themed idols began early - every year a message, every year a new form of Bappa. From "Say No to Plastic" (2018) to "Salute to Frontline Warriors" (2020) and the electric mobility message of "Go Green, Go Electric" (2019), our idols have carried the concerns of our community into the mandap.
In 2026, we celebrate our Golden Jubilee - five decades of unbroken faith, seva, and community.
